onditioners - Domestic air-conditioners - Monoblocks

Monoblocks are window air-conditioners and mobile air-conditioners.

Advantages of monoblocks:

Easy to mount and dismount.

Low price (it is significantly lower than that of split-systems of the same output).

Easy to service and repair when failing.

Disadvantages of monoblocks:

Noise (it is significantly higher than that of split-systems of the same out put, due to the fact that a compressor - the main source of the noise is directly located in a room).

For window air-conditioners – there is a need to order a special window framing with a window leaf for an air-conditioner.

For mobile air-conditioners there is a need to take a hot air tap hosepipe outside or into the window so that the location of a mobile air-conditioner in a room is restricted by the length of a hot air tap hosepipe (1,5meters). The air-conditioner is to be located near windows or by some special hole in a wall of the diameter 120-160mm. When there is no possibility to take a hot air hosepipe into the window, boring of a hole in a chief wall can cost a significant amount of money. Restricted output maximum cooling capacity of existing window air-conditioners 7kW, that of mobile ones 3,5kW. Option absence which inheres in split-systems is air ionization, plasma purifying, humidification, inverter output control and so on. You can find about the presence of these or those options of different air-conditioner models in details in a section “Catalog”.

Quite drab shape discharge, impossibility to add it to a modern interior.

For some mobile air-conditioners models which do not have a condensate pump there is a need to periodically empty the condensate tank at the bottom of an air-conditioner.

Low efficiency. There is such a term in conditioning mechanism as refrigeration index that is power consumption cooling capacity ratio.
