Coaxial heat exchangers are usually used as condensers or evaporators in the composition of refrigeration unis of a small capacity. Having a simple construction and high operational features they can be used to cool oil, liquids and air as well.

A coaxial heat exchanger has a number of advantages over shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers:

- Absence of pressure drop;

- Minimal obstruction means;

- Having a simple construction and high operation features they can be used to ool practically any environments;

- Preemptive features from the point of view of thermodynamic functioning;

- Constructiveness: when an evaporator defrosts, hydraulics on freon wil not be damaged and the evaporator will not require a complete replacement (unlike plate or shell-and-tube heat exchanger).
